Okay, I know I don't look like much of the fishing type, but you would actually be surprised to know that I'm not that bad at it! My dad taught me how to fish when I was just a little girl and I hope that one day he knows how fishing somehow connects me to him. Its weird because when I'm fishing which isn't as much as I would like, all I can think about the entire time is the great times my dad and I shared when I was just his little girl. I like to think that is was a combination those great memories and not to mention the company of three of the most wonderful people in my life, my best friend of fifteen years Danielle, her husband and my training partner Oj and of course their little addition to the world also known as my God daughter Aloni that took me to a sweeping personal fishing record of catching five fish in less than one hour!!!!! Oh Yeah baby, check-out that Catfish!
Sundays Fishing Summary
After two hours of frustration Oj finally reeled himself in a fish, and I could not have been happier for him because now he could be happy for me and all my fishing success instead of sprinkling a little something I like to call "hater-aid" on my goodtime (Lol)!
Poor, poor Danielle. I had to put a thousand worms on her hook, and she fished until it was pitch dark outside and still wasn't able to catch a fish, no luck for the first timer. In spite of her astonishing worm to fish ratio, she still had a lot of fun.
Last but not least I would have to say that hands down without even having a fishing pole, fourteen-month old Aloni had the most fun of all! She finally explored the wonderful world of dirt and free outdoor play. I don't think I've ever seen her that dirty and happy before, it was too funny! In addition to that, I think Aloni set a record of her own for the youngest kid to ever down five Capri-sun Juice pouches in two hours, and she had a big round tummy to prove it! It was truly a great way to spend my last Sunday at home.
Friends Oh My!!!
The fun wasn't over yet! On Wednesday night (July 30, 2008) my friends and I met up at none other than P.F. Chang's China Bistro for a proper send off dinner, and what a great time we had! We laughed and joked until the restaurant was closed! The best part was that my wonderful friends gave me little gifts of inspiration and love to take with me to Beijing, which I proudly carry with me, one of which was a photo of my God daughter I that reads "Good Luck". I want to say thanks to all my friends I love you guys!
